Good question, but not an easy answer - it depends on the type of lory and the individual birds -- sometimes it goes great the first time, other times not - it is best to set the potential pair side by side in separate cages for a day or two to see how they react to one another - if you have the room, you can divide a large cage down the middle and watch them. After you put them together it is a good idea to watch them for the day to make sure there is no aggression.
