Looking for an excellent home for my Chattering Lory, Chimayo. Illness forces search for loving, affectionate, trustworthy home. She (actually, I don't know - didn't care, whether she is male/female. I just call her she)has been raised on a purely homemade nectar diet. The recipe came from an website run by a professor in Washington). She's about 7 years old and a great companion.

Beautiful and intelligent Yellow Streak Lory for experienced bird owner. Bird is a loving pet. 6 year old male with DNA-sexing certificate. Bird is tame and loves to play. Healthy without problems. Bird was co-parented with parents who let me take this bird as a baby out of the nest box and cage for assistive feeding and handling, then putting him back for the parents to continue their parenting. This went on for several weeks. Should prove to be an excellent breeder. Has a cage, but, could use a nicer one. Recently opened 10 pound bag of Lory Life powder food included. I'm helping a number of accredited zoo lorikeet exhibits adopt birds that are in need of a home. If you have (especially) a rainbow, red, Black-capped or other types of lories too (nothing smaller than a rainbow though) that is in good feather and you're willing to donate to live a fabulous life in a huge aviary exhibit with a flock of other lories to live with flying and foraging for the rest of their life, excellent avian vet care and great diet, please contact me. All costs (shipping and any needed vaccinations/tests) will be paid by the zoo. I have placed many lories from this list in prominent zoos and will gladly provide excellent references to be sure this is not a hoax or fraud. This is a legitimate way to get your lory a home if you can't keep him/her. Webmasters of this site know I'm legit, you can email them to ask. This is in response to the person advertising for lories to be sent to zoos. If this is legitimate, I would be very interested. We have one rainbow lorikeet; she is now living in a rabbit cage with a plastic bottom since lorikeets are so messy! I would love to see her happy in a giant aviary at a zoo. (I labeled this ad "Lory for Trade" but she'd be free). I can't get the Google email response to work so I'm posting here.
